LEON Foundation

No one should face it alone.

No tolerance for bullying and harassment. The LEON Foundation gives free help to children bullied at school, women on their own facing harassment, and older people mistreated in hospitals or care homes, when they cannot pay for it.

Free and confidential. A trained LEON contact calls you back within 24 hours.

Who we help

Three situations where people are too often left alone.

The help is the same for everyone: we listen, we take the situation seriously, and we stay with you until the right people are involved.

Children

Bullied at school

Name-calling, exclusion, threats, blows, humiliating videos shared online. It rarely stops on its own, and children often say nothing.

Signs to notice

  • Not wanting to go to school, stomach aches on Sunday evening
  • Torn clothes, lost belongings, money going missing
  • Withdrawal, poor sleep, falling grades, avoiding the phone

What we do

  • Listen to the parents and, if they wish, to the child
  • Help you keep evidence, including screenshots of messages
  • Prepare and attend the meeting with the school, and follow up

Also available: 3020 school bullying · 3018 online

Women on their own

Facing harassment

An isolated mother followed on the way home, harassed by a neighbour, an ex-partner or online. Fear becomes daily life, and nobody seems to act.

Situations we hear

  • Repeated messages, calls, someone waiting outside the building
  • Insults or threats in the street, on public transport
  • Pressure from a former partner, sometimes in front of the children

What we do

  • Build a simple safety plan with you
  • Accompany you when you file a complaint
  • Connect you with specialist associations; when needed, a LEON escort for a journey that worries you

Also available: 3919 free, anonymous, 24/7

Older people

Mistreated in care

In a hospital or a care home (EHPAD): neglect, rough handling, humiliation, money taken. The person often cannot or dare not complain.

Signs to notice

  • Unexplained bruises, weight loss, poor hygiene
  • Fear or silence when a member of staff comes in
  • Missing belongings, unusual withdrawals of money

What we do

  • Help the family write down facts and dates
  • Prepare and attend the meeting with the management
  • Help you refer the case to the regional health agency (ARS) and, if needed, the police

Also available: 3977 mistreatment of older and disabled adults

How it works

You write once. We take it from there.

You tell us

With the form below, in a few lines. A first name is enough. Tell us when and how we can contact you safely.

A trained LEON contact calls you back

To understand what is happening, what you have already tried and what you want. Nothing is decided without you.

Within 24 hours

We support you

Going with you to appointments, mediation with the school or the institution, and referral to the right authorities and helplines. We stay in touch until things are moving.

LEON is not the police. We do not investigate and we do not take the place of the school, the care home, social services or the courts. If we believe someone is in immediate danger, we call the emergency services (17 or 112), and for a child at risk, 119 or the authorities. When we can, we tell you before we do.
LEON clients. A private "bullying and harassment" report is being added to the LEON app. These reports go only to the Foundation team: they never appear on the public crime map. Until it is available, please use the form below.

How?
FAQ

Your questions.

Is it really free?

Yes, for the families and people who cannot pay for help. The Foundation is funded by LEON and by those who support it. You will never be asked for money for the help you receive.

Who will call me back?

A LEON contact trained to listen to people facing bullying, harassment or mistreatment. They are bound by confidentiality. If your situation needs a lawyer, a psychologist or a specialist association, they will help you reach one.

Will you contact the school, the care home or the police without asking me?

No, except in one case: if we believe someone is in immediate danger, or a child is at risk, we alert the emergency services or 119. We will tell you before we do whenever we can. For everything else, nothing happens without your agreement.

Can a child or a teenager contact you directly?

Yes, but we would also like to speak with a parent or an adult they trust. A young person can call 3020 or 119 at any time, for free, without an adult. Online, 3018 helps get hurtful content removed.

Is this the same as reporting on the crime map?

No. Bullying, harassment and mistreatment involve people who can be identified, so these requests are never shown on the public map. They are read only by the Foundation team.

I do not live in a LEON city. Can you still help?

Yes. We call back anywhere in France and can help you reach the right services near you. Being accompanied in person depends on where our teams and volunteers are.

What happens to the details I send?

They are used only to help you and are kept only as long as needed. You can ask us at any time to delete them, through the contact page.
